Lake Travis is continuing to produce bass. Topwaters are working well along the banks with chunk rock and in the marinas and deep coves along with a crankbait and spoons. Working ledges and drops with shaky heads with trick worms and Texas rigged four and five inch worms are working as well. Drag worms in jigs out on deeper ledges to get some big bites. GOOD. Water normal stain; 82 degrees. Bass are good with numbers being caught mainly on worms, but a swimbait, moving baits like crankbaits, wakebaits and spinnerbaits are working as well when there is a good amount of bait in the water. The frog bite is picking up as well. Report by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs. Bass are good with a top water bite early in the morning until the clouds burn off. Fishing around grass beds with plastics and soft swim baits has been the ticket as well. Some schooling activity out in the deep water. Fish have been staying up on the surface longer when there is minimal wind. Small shad imitating baits has been working well on the schoolies. Overall, the lake is fishing very well right now and you can catch them a number of ways. Report by Carson Conklin, ATX Fishing. The shell cracker, crappie and panfish anglers all seem to be catching good numbers. Bass fishing has been good, averaging around 30 a trip using worms in the grass. Some can be caught throwing spinnerbaits, some glide baits for bigger fish, some jerkbaits over the grass. The water clarity still pretty good 3-4 feet. Report by David Townsend, Austin Fishing Guide.
