Austin
FAIR. Water stained; 80 degrees; 0.67 feet below pool. Bass are biting from first light until about 9 a.m. then it seems to slow down quite a bit. If you plan on fishing Lake Austin I would recommend fishing at night as fish will move up shallow. Lady bird lake water temperature is 83 degrees. Majority of the lake below the First Street bridge has a heavy stain to it. The grass has started to top out in many areas of the lake. Early morning is good for topwater bites. Frogs and spooks are working good. Later in the morning fish have been seeking deep grass. Dragging a worm around these areas is the ticket. Overall it’s fishing decent.
