Action
Land Donation – Kendall and Bandera Counties
3K Ranch
January 27, 2011

I.       Executive Summary:  Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) has been left a 3,796-acre tract of land from the estate of Albert and Bessie Kronkosky.

II.          Discussion:  TPWD has been left a 3,757.34-acre tract of land known as the 3K Ranch located approximately 8 miles west of Boerne and 30 miles northwest of  San Antonio, along and adjacent to State Highway 46 between Boerne and Pipe Creek.  This tract is largely undeveloped with one ranch complex along State Highway 46 including a main residence, ranch manager residence, a 6-car garage, two 2-car garages and 2 barns.

III.    Recommendation:  The staff recommends the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission adopt the following motion:

“The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission authorizes the Executive Director to take all necessary steps to accept the donation of the 3K Ranch comprised of approximately 3757.54 located in Kendall and Bandera Counties.”
