Join a park ranger at the day use area and explore Goose Island State Park through art. Paint or draw to record memories of your experiences in the park.

Program is free with Park Entry. Program may be canceled or postponed in event of rain. If no participants are present by 2:40 p.m. the hike may be canceled.
Join a ranger at the day use area. Create a piece of art that shows how you are getting to know Goose Island State Park. Participants may come with an idea, or gain inspiration from field guides, the day use area, or the butterfly garden. Topics for this event vary and designed to help guide creativity if needed.
When: 2:30 p.m.
Where: The Day Use Area. (Look for a where a park vehicle is parked, and a park ranger at a picnic shelter.) If it is really windy we may move the activity inside the recreation hall.
Helpful things: Bring a journal to record things, water, bug spray, and dress for the weather as we may be outside!
Park Location: So where is Goose Island State Park? We are located north of Rockport-Fulton across the Copano Causeway on 202 S. Palmetto, Rockport, Tx.
Goose Island State Park has a day use fee of $5 per person 13 years of age and older, children 12 and under are free.
Participants age 19 or younger can enter their art in the Get to Know Art Contest running through Nov. 1, 2014. Art must be the participant's own creation, created in 2014. To enter, participants must live in the U.S. More information is available through the link below.
