Archery is appropriate for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult, guardian, or youth group leader. A safety release will be provided at the event.
Archery is a sport that requires patience and concentration, skills that can build your confidence. Archery is a great activity for children, children can start learning archery when they are 8 to 10 years old. All they need to start is a teacher, the strength to draw a bow, and to be aware of safety concerns.
At Basic Archery we will provide the gear, the teacher, and the knowledge needed to see if archery is an activity you would like to try. Space is limited for this event and registration is required. If there is a lot of interest multiple sessions may be offered. Children must be accompanied by adults and a release form is required.
At the beginning of the session we will go over the parts of the bow, parts of the arrow, the proper way to draw, and safety. After the introduction class participants will have the chance to practice. Class size is limited to ensure that individuals get in plenty of practice time. Multiple sessions will be offered if the first one fills up.
