Meet a Park Ranger at Stinky Beach!
If you want to volunteer to help drag the seine net be sure to wear sturdy close toed shoes. We will walk the net through the water to see what creatures we can find. The catch is never the same; we may catch juvenile fish, shrimp, or even baby squid in the net.
When: This event will meet on Fridays in August 16th at 2:30 p.m.
Where: We will meet at Stinky Beach at 2:30 p.m. Stinky Beach is located on the east end of the island at Goose Island State Park.
Helpful things to bring: A camera, water, closed toed shoes, sunscreen, and curiosity!
Accessibility: Individuals will have to walk a short distance to Stinky Beach. Parking is available across from the bridge to the island, and at the restrooms for the camping area on the east end of Goose Island.
Park Location: So where is Goose Island State Park? We are located north of Rockport Fulton across the Copano Causeway on 202 S. Palmetto, Rockport, Tx.
Goose Island State Park has a day use fee of $5 per person 13years of age and older, children 12 and under are free.
