Participants will have an opportunity to spend the evening toasting marshmallows and enjoying a campfire. Additionally, Texas Parks & Wildlife employees will share stories about curses, spirits, legends and things that go bump in the night at Lake Whitney State Park. The program will begin with kid’s Halloween jokes. Our jokes are so bat . . . it’s scary!
Meet at the Group Dining Hall fire ring across from Star View Camping Loop.
The program is free for any participant who has a valid entrance permit for the day. After hours, visitors can purchase entrance permits with exact change at the self-pay station across from Park Headquarters. Entrance permits are available from Park Headquarters for $5.00 per person for everyone 13 or older. Children 12 or under are free. Entrance fees are also covered by a valid Texas State Parks Pass.
Chairs will be provided. However, participants are encouraged to bring a blanket on which to sit. Families with children are encouraged to attend.
