Join us for an easy bird walk of the wooded camping area, listen to the birds, and maybe even learn a few new things.
Larry & Judy are our April Bird Hosts. They will listen and watch for birds and help point out the birds, their behavior, and calls. Join us for this easy bird walk, where you can see birds, and maybe even learn a few new things.
When: 8:00 a.m.
Parking: Park at Turk's Cap Trail Parking Lot, next to campsite 157.
Where to meet: The restrooms on Warbler Way.
What are we doing: Bird-watching and walking.
Things to bring: Binoculars, water, sunscreen, bug spray, shoes suitable for walking, a camera, and dress in weather-appropriate clothing.
Walks may be canceled or postponed in event of rain.
There is no fee for attending this program although park entrance is required. Entrance fees are $5 per person over the age of 13, children 12 and under are free, or free with a current Texas State Park Pass. Appropriate for all ages and all skills of birders. We do have a few pairs of binoculars available for use during the program, but it is best to bring your own.
