Hueco Tanks Birding Hike
Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site is visited by over 200+ different species of birds throughout the year, and this is your chance to see some of them! Whether you are a birder or just curious how to tell one bird from the other, this tour is for you.
Tours leave from the Park's Interpretive Center at 8:00 AM every third Saturday of the month. Please give yourself enough time to check-in at the headquarters and prepare before the tour leaves, as restrooms are scarce while on the hike!
Things to bring: Water, binoculars, camera, bird guide / ID book, good hiking shoes, and enthusiasm.
Fees & Reservation info: Please be aware that there will be a $2 fee for the tour in addition to the admission fee to enter the park ($7 for ages 13 and up). In order to reserve a spot on the tour, please call the Park Office at (915) 849-6684.
