What are leaves good for? What do they do for the tree? Come find out and then make a casting or rubbing of leaves to take home!
You are invited to come to the Group Pavilion at Cooper Lake State Park/Doctors Creek and enjoy a program on leaves. "What? Did you say, leaves?" Sure...LEAVES! Geared toward the younger generations but open to those of all ages, learn a little bit about the structure and function of leaves. Then we will go find some and do a plaster cast of the leaf that you find. The result will be yours to take with you and enjoy at home. This program may be cancelled because of weather. Contact the park office for updated information.
