Horse Whispering

Copper Breaks State Park
Horse trainer Larry Hannon will present "horse sense," an ancient Chinese technique of understanding and training horses and other mammals. After explaining the method, Hannon will lead a unique presentation of "Meet the Longhorns" by applying the technique to the steers at Copper Breaks.

Flight of the Monarchs Trail Ride

San Angelo State Park
Come join us at San Angelo State Park for our two-day event which includes an auction, chuck wagon meals, cowboy concert, Cowboy Church and cowboy reenactors. Bring your camera to photograph the return of the monarch butterflies. Trail ride registration 9:00 a.m. Ride at 10:00 a.m. Cost is $50 for both days or $40 for one day. Discount for children 12 and under. Come for any event or camp with us and enjoy it all. Negative Coggins required. No studs or riding double. Lunch on trail provided. Reservations required.
