A.M. Birding Walk
Wed, March 22, 2017
Whether this is your first time birding or you’ve been doing it for decades, come out to Palo Duro Canyon to experience and learn about some of our beautiful wild birds. Join park staff on this easy walk as we explore the amazing variety of birds that live in and visit the canyon.
Prepare: Dress for the weather, wear good hiking shoes and bring water to drink. If you have binoculars or bird guides, please bring them. Some binoculars will be available for your use. Please do not bring pets to this event as they may scare away the birds.
Meet: At Chinaberry Day Use area, on the right hand side of the road just past Hackberry Camp and the first water crossing.
Fees: Regular park entrance fees ($5 per adult, children 12 & under are free). No charge for this program. Please make use of the self-pay station as the park headquarters will not be open this early.
