Walk/Run for a cure to Breast Cancer.
San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site is proud to host the Harley's Angels Cruzin to Cure Battle Against Breast Cancer 5k fun run/walk The Harley's Angels Battle Against Breast Cancer 5k fun run is a family friendly event that takes place at one of Texas' most important, scenic, and historic locations and starts and ends at the historic San Jacinto Monument.
The Mission of Harley’s Angels is to promote breast cancer awareness, education, and support of research for the prevention and cure of breast cancer. Harley’s Angels – Cruzin to Cure is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is not affiliated with any dealer, manufacturer, or motorcycle enthusiast organization. Proceeds from this event benefit MD Anderson's Breast Cancer Research and Prevention fund and the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Care Center at Baylor College of Medicine.
Harley’s Angels is a group of volunteer, women motorcycle enthusiasts dedicated to promoting breast cancer awareness, research and education and with one out of eight women being diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, it is no surprise that there are also several breast cancer survivors within their group.
Their primary fundraising project is the publication of a calendar featuring the women of “Harley’s Angels.” The calendar is tastefully designed featuring the women of Harley’s Angels and their motorcycles.
After the fun run feel free to roam around the park and take in a little Texas History! If would like to join them in their crusade to find a cure for breast cancer or for information please visit their website at http://theharleysangels.org.
