The sargassum seaweed isn't always a visitor favorite, but it plays a huge role in our island's ecology. It also provides a home for many neat little critters! Come explore the sargassum with us & see what we can find! Remember to dress for the weather as we will be outside for about an hour in the summer afternoon! Hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, and good walking shoes are recommended. Wear bathing suits or clothes that you won't mind getting wet!
Meet at the beginning of the primitive camping beach by 2:00PM! Please leave your pets at home for this program!
All outdoor programs are subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. Program is free of charge; regular entrance fees apply ($5 per adult).
