Check at Park Headquarters for starting location for this bird walk.

Larry and Judy are returning as our April Bird Hosts.   They will listen and watch for birds and help point out the birds, their behavior, and calls. 

When: 8:00 a.m.

Where:  Parking lot next to campsite 157

Parking:  Park at Turk's Cap Trail Parking Lots, or the Tent Camping Parking Area.

What are we doing:  Bird watching and walking.

Things to bring:  Binoculars, water, sun screen, bug spray, shoes suitable for walking, a camera, and dress in weather appropriate clothing. 

Walks may be canceled or postponed in event of rain.


There is no fee for attending this program although park entrance  is required.  Entrance fees are $5 per person over the age of 13, children 12 and under are free, or free with a current Texas State Park Pass.  Appropriate for all ages and all skills of birders.  We do have a few pairs of binoculars available for use during the program.  If planning on borrowing a pair of binoculars please email to reserve a pair.
