Enjoy a fun hike in the park's back-country!
Who: The whole family -- all ages are welcome! Strollers are not recommended, as the trail is very rocky in areas. Friendly dogs on leash are welcome.
What: A fun morning hike on our Fawn Trail as we find out more about the plants and animals of the Hill Country.
Length/difficulty: Length is approximately 3 miles. This hike is moderate in difficulty -- parts of this trail are steep and rocky, and other parts are more flat.
Where to meet: Meet at the Walk-in Campground parking lot.
What to bring: Good walking shoes (hiking boots are recommended, but tennis shoes are fine) and plenty of drinking water are recommended. Dress for the weather, in layers!
Note: Park programs are open to the public and free with park entrance fee ($5 per adult ages 13 and up; children 12 and under are always free!). No need to register -- just show up!
