|Where||Goose Island State Park|
|Contact Name||Janelle Rand|
This easy walk meets at Goose Island State Parks' Park Headquarters. We will walk down the main road of the park and search for wildflowers, part of the walk goes down a paved sidewalk. Some wildflowers are small, others are big, but all of them are an important part of our habitat! A park ranger will lead the walk and help identify the plants encountered.
Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a water bottle, and a way to document the flowers you see. Whether you like to journal, take photographs, or garden this walk is a great way to see a few of our native flowers and learn a little about them. Remember please don't pick the flowers, but leave them for other visitor's to enjoy.
This walk is open to the public and appropriate for flower lovers of all ages. Park entry fee is required for individuals over 12 years of age.
Walks may be postponed or canceled in event of rain.
