Women’s Only Hike – The Maze Trail

This is a great opportunity for females of all ages who may feel some apprehension or fear about starting this new activity of hiking. Join in on the fellowship and camaraderie of an all female group, learning the basics about safety and hiking in the desert.

Friday, April 4 – $8.00 entrance fee

Women’s Only Hike – The Maze Trail (Moderate to difficult)

Meet at Chuck Heinrich Park

Start: 9:00 a.m.

Length:  3.5-4 miles/ 2-3 hours

Trail Difficulty: Moderate to difficult.  The trail is steep at the start, but levels out and transitions to “slick rock” type terrain over beautiful red granite, and offers a fun change from some of the more familiar trails found in other parts of the park.

Bring:  Water, snacks, sturdy hiking shoes/boots, hiking stick, camera, binoculars, a map and dogs are welcome on leashes!

Driving Directions to Chuck Heinrich Park:  Hwy 54 - take exit 31 toward Martin Luther King Jr Blvd/Kenworthy St.  Turn north onto Martin Luther King Jr Blvd travel 0.6 mi.  Left onto Jon Cunningham Blvd, drive to end parking lot.
