Walter E. Long Fishing Report

Mar 27, 2024
GOOD. Water slightly stained; 69 degrees. Bass are good on Alabama rigs, jerkbaits and weedless swimbaits over the grass. Slowly moving worms down in the grass will land you catches as well. The preferred color seems to change every few hours, so have several tied on. Despite the full moon, only a few bass were on beds this last week, so expect the spawn this next week. The grass is very thick in many places. The clarity is off-colored in the back of coves where creeks drain muddy water in but we still caught fish in them.
