Directions
The Tawakoni WMA is located 50 miles east of Dallas. Take IH 30 east to Greenville. From Greenville to the three units, follow these directions.
Pawnee Inlet Unit, located east of Lake Tawakoni, from Greenville go south on US Hwy 69 to Lone Oak. From Lone Oak travel west on FM 1571 about two and one half miles. Turn right onto Spur 1571 to the campground.
Caddo Creek Unit, located west of Lake Tawakoni, from Greenville, go south on SH 34 about 14 miles (just north of Quinlan). The Area is southwest of the Caddo Creek bridge and the highway. Or from Quinlan travel north on SH 34 approximately one and one half miles
Duck Cove Unit, also located west of Lake Tawakoni, from Greenville, go south on SH 34 to Quinlan, from Quinlan travel east on FM 35 (TX-276/E MAIN ST), one mile to FM 751. Go south on FM 751 for 5.5 miles to CR 3826. Turn west (left) on FM 3826 for 0.8 miles to FM 3827, the check-in point.
