Viewing wildlife is an enjoyable activity that is available in many of the Wildlife Management Areas of Texas.

The D.R. Wintermann WMA is an ideal place to observe migratory waterfowl and many other bird species. The habitat of rice fields and shallow water sources provide food and water in a accessible location. Visitors can schedule a session with the manager to learn more about the structure of the wetlands that attract the yearly influx of migratory birds.
