Instructions

The download image is about 169 times the size that it appears on your computer monitor. Wait until the image is complete, then use your browser's Save Image As function, typically:

  • On a PC, right-click the image and "Save Picture As ..." on your hard drive or other storage.
  • On a Macintosh, control-click (or click and hold) the image to "Save Image As ..." on your hard drive or other storage.

Caption/Information: Wildlife are capable of escaping danger, including wildfires, and a burned area can be a positive thing for habitat and wildlife because it removes dead and unwanted vegetation. The new plant growth that will come after rains will be beneficial to wildlife, according to TPWD wildlife biologists.
