Maximum combination of people and horses is 8 per site. Non-equestrian camping is allowed. All sites have pull-off parking. Be prepared to use a "string line" to properly secure horses. Do not tie horses to trees or shrubs. Must dispose of manure and waste hay. Restrooms do not have hot water or showers. Horses entering park need a negative Coggins test less than 12 months old.

Ask about a discounted rate for renting the Group Picnic Pavilion and the adjacent Group Picnic Area. This facility has five campsites with water and holds a maximum of 40 people; fee is $7 per site and 8-people maximum per site. Campsites (Primitive Hike-in)

Located in a flat area along the trail system, below a scenic overlook, near the west end of the dam on Lake Copper Breaks. Approximate distance to campsites is 3/4 of a mile. Water is not available in this area. No fire rings or grills at the sites. Containerized stoves are allowed. Ground fires are prohibited. Pets are allowed and must be kept on a 6 ft. leash or less. Cell phone reception is very spotty as the area is really primitive.
