Play Pokémon GO in Texas State Parks

Welcome, Pokémon GO players!

Please follow these guidelines so that our parks stay wild and enjoyable for all:

  • Watch where you’re going. Be on the lookout for humans who are driving, biking and hiking through the park.
  • Respect the speed limit while driving. Watch for the many little humans at the park (potions can’t heal them).
  • Stay on the trails. Respect the homes of our non-virtual plants and animals.
  • Heed the signs! Stay out of restricted or closed areas.
  • Keep it wild. Please leave only footprints and collect only virtual plants and animals.
  • Dispose of trash properly. Bonus points for leaving the park cleaner than you found it by picking up trash along your way.

Share your finds on social media and tag them with #TexasParksPokemon. Name the park, as well. Let's see how many species are in Texas State Parks!

Remember, kids play free in Texas State Parks.

When you don't have a cell signal, take a moment to enjoy the natural beauty of your park!
