History of Pedernales Falls Hike
Join a ranger for a one mile hike down to the falls. We will discuss the history of Pedernales Falls and how it has shaped the wildlife, plants, and geology of the park as we see it today. This hike ends with a fascinating discovery in the rocks! (30-45 minutes)
Homestead Picnic Hike-Part 2
Bring a day pack filled with picnic goodies to explore the less traveled parts of Pedernales Falls. We will stop half way on this hike for a picnic break by Jones Springs. This is a great time to practice those hiking skills for Spring! Reservations are required for this event.
Geocaching Color Race
Come learn the basics of geocaching with a competitive twist! Can you make it to each animal color station before the other teams? Please email wendi.laws@tpwd.texas.gov to register.
Trail Work Days
Join our staff on trail work days every Second Saturday morning in 2017. Come help the rangers maintain our 40 miles of scenic trails in the beautiful Hill Country State Natural Area.

KIDS! Learn what it means to be a park ranger and how to protect our beautiful state parks with this SELF-GUIDED program ANY DAY OF THE WEEK! Check out a loaner Explorer Pack and/or complete fun Junior Ranger journal activities on your own time and receive an official badge! (ages 6-12 years)
