Art in the Park: Botanical Butterflies

Make your own butterfly print!
A ranger will guide visitors through making a butterfly print using paint and leaves. Butterflies and moths rely on host plants to survive and thrive! Learn all about this important relationship, the type of butterflies and moths you can see in the park, and which plants they need to live.
When: 2:30 pm
Where: Knights Bluff Day Use Area
What to Bring: Water, sunscreen/hat/sunglasses, bug spray. Paint used in program is washable, but wear clothes that are okay to get dirty.
Accessibility: Path to program is pavement, concrete sidewalk and grass. Parking and restrooms are located in the program area.
Atlanta State Park has one all-terrain wheelchair available for visitor use at no additional charge. Please contact park headquarters to check availability at (903) 796-6476.
Cost: Free with paid park admission ($3 for per person 13 and older; 12 and under are free) or with a Texas State Parks Pass.
