Skins, Skulls, Tracks, and Scat

Create a take home track and learn about some of the mysterious animals that live in Atlanta State Park!

Accessibility: Parking will be available at Knights Bluff Day Use. Restroom is available nearby. Drinking water is available at water spigot. Path to program is pavement and flat grass.

Program Expectations: Program will consist of a ranger presentation, seeing, feeling, and hearing multiple real and replica skins and skulls of the wild animals found in east Texas. Afterwards, plaster tracks will be made which take about 20 minutes to harden. After 2:40 p.m. track making will stop. All materials will be provided.

Program is included in park entry fees- $3 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. No need to register, just show up! Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Atlanta State Park Facebook page or you can call park headquarters.
