Veterans Mental Health Awareness Ruck Hike

Join us in support of our Veterans during our annual ruck hike!
This event aims to connect community partners with our veteran community and raise awareness of mental health struggles faced by veterans. Community members, veterans and their families, and local veterans' organizations are welcome to participate.
When: 9 - 11a
Where: Arrowhead Trailhead
Trail Information: Easy, 1 mile loop along the Arrowhead Trail. No major elevation changes; ground may be sandy or uneven in spots. Trail leads to the shores of the beautiful Lake Wright Patman before returning to the trailhead parking lot. No restroom or water source at trailhead. Closest restroom is located at Park Headquarters.
What to bring:
Water
Bug Spray
Sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, etc.)
Weighted Ruck Sack (optional)
Program is included in park entry fees- $3 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. *Entrance Fees Waived if Attending Ruck Hike* Can donations for the community are always accepted.
Texas Parklands Passports are available to veterans, disabled veterans, active-duty service members, and Gold Star Family members.

Accessibility: Atlanta State Park has one all-terrain wheelchair available for visitor use at no additional charge. Please contact park headquarters to check availability at (903) 796-6476.
