Join us on our Veteran Suicide Awareness Ruck Hike and Walk!
Accessibility: Parking will be available at Arrowhead trailhead and Knights Bluff Day-Use. Restrooms are available at Knights Bluff Day-Use. No restroom at Arrowhead trailhead. Drinking water is available for purchase at HQ or spigots at Knights Bluff Day-Use.
Program Expectations: Come join us as Atlanta State Park hosts a Veteran Suicide Awareness Ruck Hike. This event aims to connect community partners with our veteran community, particularly focusing on reaching under-served veteran populations and raising awareness of issues facing veterans. Community members, veterans and their families, and local veterans organizations are welcome to come participate. The Hike will take place on Arrowhead Trail which is an easy one-mile trail that winds its way to the banks of Lake Wright Patman and back to the trailhead parking. The Walk will follow in the Knights Bluff Day-Use Area around the day-use circle atop Knights Bluff overlooking the lake.

- Can donation (optional)
Program is included in park entry fees- Entry fees will be waived on September 21 only. Can donations for the community are always accepted. Programs are subject to cancellation. Cancellations will be announced on Atlanta State Park Facebook page or you can call park headquarters.
