The Stars at Night Hike

Ever wondered the name of that constellation or what animal is making that sound! Join a ranger on a 1.5 mile hike to find out.
As an International Dark Sky Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park boasts the darkest skies in the lower 48. This 1.5 mile hike will take you on a trip through the far reaches of our universe.
Meet: Hoodoos Trailhead. This is located 25 miles from Barton Warnock Visitor Center and 22 miles from Fort Leaton State Historic Site.
When: 8 PM - 9:30 PM
Bring: Water, red-filtered flashlight/headlamp, binoculars (if you have them).
Dress in layers as temperatures can fluctuate rapidly at night and wear closed toe shoes.

Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is free with a Texas Parks Pass.
