Sunset Stroll Birding Walk
Sat, March 29, 2025
Being bird brained is fun! Enjoy a nice walk along paved trails while the sun sets! Join knowledgeable volunteer Park Hosts, Rog and Carolyn to learn a new hobby for your outdoor adventures!
Experienced and brand new birders are all welcome to join in on this birding experience at Bastrop State Park!
Join Rog and Carolyn on an easy stroll along the paved Tree Army Trails while the sun sets. We will walk about 1 to 1.5 miles with lots of birding stops along the way. This trail is wheelchair accessible.
Program is from 6pm to 7pm.
As Park Host volunteers, Rog and Carolyn get to live in the park and have made it their goal to find all the birding hot spots around the park! Their knowledge and friendly, fun attitude will be sure to make for a wonderful experience for all that attend!
Binoculars will be provided to borrow during the program on a first come, first serve basis.
Meet at the picnic table/benches/fire pit behind the Historic Golf Shelter.
Restrooms are not available inside the Historic Golf Shelter so please use the restrooms at either campground - Piney Hill or Copperas - or the one at HQ before arriving.
Wear close toed shoes, bring a water bottle, and binoculars if you have them.
Program is free after park entrance fee has been paid.
