If you've been interested in volunteering in the parks, join our Friends' group! 

Friends of the Lost Pines State Parks - Bastrop & Buescher - help support the parks in many ways through volunteer work and fundraising!  Friends' members volunteer at community outreach events, educational events in the park, trail maintenance, fundraising, fire wood sales, canoe rentals, etc. New members are accepted at any time! 

They are also looking for new Board Members! If you're interested in shaping volunteer opportunities in the park and truly making a difference in supporting our parks, please consider joining as an influential board member. 

On Thursday, April 17th, Friends of the Lost Pines will be holding their annual elections meeting at the Bastrop State Refectory.

The Refectory is the large red sandstone building located past the HQ building and past the Historic Golf Shelter. It has a large horseshoe drive in front of it and large parking lot to the left side of it. 

You do not need to pay a park entrance fee to attend a volunteer meeting with the Friends of the Lost Pines. 

The meeting starts at 6:30pm. Prior to the meeting at 6pm we will be meeting in front of the Refectory building and will go on a short 30 minute walk along the paved Tree Army Trails and look/identify wildflowers along the way. 

There will be some refreshments and social time at 6:30pm.
