Atlatl in the Morning

Prehistoric spear throwing. Come see primitive hunting techniques, and physics in motion!

Before there was the bow and arrow, there was the atlatl. This program will teach you about this prehistoric spear-throwing tool, as well as give you the opportunity to try it out for yourself!

Signed Safety Waiver required to participate. (Provided at event)
Adult supervision required for children 17 years old and younger.

Who: The whole family! All ages  welcome. 

Bring: Dress for the weather.

Meet: at end of Swim Area parking lot 10am - 11:30am.

Know before you go: This is a program that involves standing  (some chairs will be available). 

Cost/registration:  Park programs are FREE with paid park admission, which is $5 per person ages 13 and over. Kids 12 and younger are free. Free admission with Texas Parks Pass.
