Intro to Astronomy

Learn how to navigate the bright night sky in the heart of Texas.
**NOTE: This event was originally scheduled to start at 7:00p.m., but is now scheduled for 5:30 p.m.**
Join Ranger Katy at under the stars for an introduction to astronomy. We will talk about using telescopes, how to navigate the stars, and where to look during different seasons! Feel free to bring your own equipment. (telescopes, binoculars, cameras, etc.). We will also have a telescope set up for people to view. Feel free to stay after and stargaze on your own.
Remember, the park closes at 10 p.m. for day users.
Meet: East side day use swimming area (Take a right once you pass the headquarters building.)
Bring: family, friends, and a chair or blanket to sit on.
Cost: Free with park admission; Adults: $5, Children 12 & under: Free
