The natural and cultural resources that surround us have a story to tell. Hit the trail with us at Bonham SP to learn a little bit about what the natural and cultural resources of the Red River Valley say about us!

Expect to: Learn a little bit about the Civilian Conservation Corps' legacy at Bonham SP, about the natural history of the park, and about how environmental transformation shaped the Red River Valley.

When: We’ll begin at 2:00 pm and end at approximately 3:00 pm.

Where: Meet at the Gnarly Root Trail-head parking area across from the swim beach. The hike will be just under 2 miles there and back.

What to bring: Appropriate footwear and plenty of water. Don’t forget to put on the sunblock and bug spray before you come out.
