Celebrate the holidays with family and friends at Brazos Bend State Park! Read the description for the full schedule of events.

It's a day full of cheer and celebration, with family activities scheduled throughout the day. 

8:00 am - Birding Hike - Meet at the Viewing Platform at Elm Lake. Don't forget your binoculars!

10:00 am - 2:00 pm - Elf Hike - This self-guided hike sends you out on a scavenger hunt to find the elves in the trails on the Pilant Slough Trail

Morning - Afternoon - Meet the Game Warden by the Nature Center and learn more about what it's like to be a Game Warden and how to become one! 

10:00 am - Wildlife Program - Meet on the side of the Nature Center and learn about some local wildlife with live animals from the Wildlife Center of Texas.

11:15 am - Alligator Program - meet at the amphitheater and learn all you need to know about these amazing animals that call Brazos Bend home. 

Noon - 6:00 pm - Master Naturalist Table - Meet your Master Naturalists and learn about some of the local wildlife. They will have pelts and skulls for you to see and learn about the different adaptations of each animal for their different lifestyles. 

12:15 pm - Wildlife Program - If you missed the 10:00 am show, don't worry, here's your second chance! Meet on the side of the Nature Center and learn about some local wildlife with live animals from the Wildlife Center of Texas.

1:00 pm - The Sugar Land Garden C lub will be handing out seedlings for you to take home. This is your chance to learn about native species and their importance. Also, a good chance to learn a little more about gardening.

2:00 pm - Snake Program - Learn all about the animals that people love to hate. They are very uniquely adapted animals that play a vital role in the ecosystem. So why do they get such a bad rap?

3:00 pm - Pup Parade - We definitely did not forget about your furry friends! Meet by the flagpole outside the Nature Center with your pup! Dress them up, or not, and join the Pet Parade to celebrate the holidays with EVERY family member.

3:00 - 5:00 pm - Christmas Crafts - Make your very own nature-inspired Christmas ornament, then take it home and hang it on your tree for some very special memories to last for years. 

3:00  - 5:00 pm - Seed Bombs - Meet by the windmill behind the Nature Center. You'll be making a seed bomb with all native seeds that help your local ecosystems! The plants that grow from this seeds help provide food, shelter and habitat for many local animals and insects.

3:00 pm - 4:00 pm - Santa - Santa Claus is visiting Brazos Bend and this is your chance to meet him and get your picture with him! 

3:00 pm - dark - Hayrides - Take a hayride around the park while listening to Christmas Carols and learning more about Brazos Bend State Park.

5:00 pm - S'mores - Join us around the campfire to make some delicious s'mores. You can't have a Holiday in the Park celebration without these messy and delicious snacks around the fire. 

5:00 - 7:00pm - Brazos Bend Pickers - As the evening winds down, listen to the music by the Brazos River Pickers and enjoy the final part of our Holiday celebrations.
