Junior Ranger Academy

Let's explore and answer questions all Junior Rangers should know!

What is leave no trace? Whose tracks are that? Who is coming around your campsite at night? Let’s investigate the day use answer to help us answer these questions together!
Location: Buescher State Park 
Meet at the Group Picnic Area – Fishing area with the dirt road.
We will be at the concrete picnic tables.      

When: 2pm to 3pm

What: Grab a free Jr. Ranger Journal from either parks headquarters before coming to the program. We will explore the group picnic and fishing area while working together on some of the activities in the Jr. Ranger journal.

Bring: JR Ranger journal and bottled water. Grab your free Jr. Ranger journal from headquarters when you check in or grab it before coming to the program. 

This program is designed for 6-12 years of age.  Children younger than 6 are welcome to come but will need parental assistance.  Children at heart or above the age of 12 are always welcome to participate and become JR. Rangers!

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Program is free after park entrance fee has been paid. Children 12 and under are free!
