A Curious Hike Through the Lost Pines
There's more happening in the forest than we usually notice. Join us for a slow, curious walk through the Lost Pines as we use our senses to discover tiny worlds, listen for hidden sounds, search for signs of wildlife, and uncover the relationships connecting the forest.
Come ready to slow down, look closely, and discover what you might otherwise walk right past.
Meet: Scenic Overlook near the trail map sign
-This location has limited parking, you will need to carpool if you have a larger group
-There are no restrooms or water spigots at the Scenic Overlook. Please use restrooms and fill your water bottles before arriving to the scenic overlook. There are restrooms at the playground or Lakeview camp loop.
Bring: Bottled water, your observation skills and curiosity, wear closed toe shoes and weather appropriate clothing
Trail description: 1 mile loop trail. Some slight decline/inclines but mainly level. Rocky/dirt tread. Half shady, half sunny trail.
