Step into the shoes of a CCC boy as we hike through our historic park to learn about the work of the Civilian Conservation Corps. We will discuss their legacy and view examples of their craftsmanship.
- EXPECT: Moderate 1-mile hike over hilly terrain. We will discuss the Civilian Conservation Corps and view the CCC pavilion, and old park infrastructure.
- WHEN: We’ll begin promptly at 3:00 PM and end at approximately 4:00 PM.
- WHERE: Meet at the Caddo Forest Trailhead.
- WHAT TO BRING: Appropriate footwear and water. Don’t forget to put on sunblock and bug spray before you come out.
- COST AND FINE PRINT: Program is included in park entry fees- $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. No need to register, just show up! Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Caddo Lake State Park Facebook page or you can call Park HQ.
