Happy Birthday Caddo Lake State Park!

Join us to celebrate 100 years of Texas State Parks and Caddo lake State Park's birthday! We will go on a celebratory birthday hike, followed by birthday cake! Throughout the day, enjoy several interpretive programs. **Instructions below!
- WHAT TO EXPECT: The day will start with a morning Caddo appreciation hike that covers the history and fun facts about the park. To beat the heat, the hike will start at 9 a.m. and end with a birthday cake around 10 a.m.. At 1:00 p.m. bring the kids down for a pond dipping program at the boat launch. Finally, at 3:00 p.m., enjoy art in the park at Saw Mill Pond.
- WHEN: July 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- WHERE: The hike will be at Caddo Forest Nature Trail entrance by the boat launch. Pond dipping will be at the boat launch, and art in the park will be at Saw Mill Pond
- WHAT TO BRING: appropriate clothing for the weather, closed-toed shoes, water, bug spray, sun screen, and good energy!
- COST: Program is included in park entry fees: $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. No need to register, just show up! Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Caddo Lake State Park Facebook page or you can call park headquarters.
