Nature's Night Shift
Join a park ranger to learn about nature’s night shift and how these animals survive in the dark!
- EXPECT: Hike a moderate 0.7-mile hike with moderate hills- including sections of stairs. We will stop periodically to discuss nocturnal animal adaptations and will look and listen for wildlife.
- WHEN: We’ll begin promptly at 8PM and end at approximately 9PM.
- WHERE: Meet at the Caddo Forest Trail. Trailhead located by the entrance of the boat ramp parking lot. Park HQ will be closed. Bring exact change or check to pay entry fees using the self-pay station.
- WHAT TO BRING: Closed-toe shoes (required), flashlight or headlamp, and water. Don’t forget to put on bug spray before you come out.
- COST AND FINE PRINT: Program is included in park entry fees- $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. No need to register, just show up! Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Caddo Lake State Park Facebook page or you can call Park HQ.
