Paddlefish, the oldest surviving animal in North America, have thrived for millions of years, but now face their greatest threat yet- humans. Join a park ranger to learn about these amazing creatures and how you can help them make a comeback!

  • Expect: This is a traditional ranger talk with interactive activities. Great for all ages!
  • When: We’ll begin at 1PM and end at approximately 2PM.
  • Where: Meet at the Amphitheater. Parking is located across the street next to the fishing pier. Please help us stop erosion by taking the stairs up to the amphitheater.
  • What to Bring: Comfortable clothing and water. Don’t forget to put on sunblock and bug spray before you come out.
  • Cost and Fine Print: Program is included in park entry fees- $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. No need to register, just show up! Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Caddo Lake State Park Facebook page or you can call Park HQ.
