Leaves of three, leave them be!

If you want to avoid poison ivy, you’ll need to know what it looks like. It can be harder to identify than you think and can easily be confused with other plants. Come out to learn all about this fascinating, potentially problematic plant. You'll learn simple tips for correctly identifying poison ivy and get the chance to put your identification skills to the test under the guidance of a ranger during a short hike. 

Trail distance: Approximately 0.5 miles (0.8 km). Trail requires walking up/down a hill and across uneven ground. 

Where: Meet at Amphitheater.

Bring: Drinking water, sunscreen, bug spray. Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing.

Cost: Free with paid park admission ($4 for per person 13 and older; 12 and under are free) or with a Texas State Parks Pass.
