Reading Between the Signs Hike (10AM)

10:00a to 11:00a
Tue, March 12, 2019
Kelsey Johnson

We may not see many animals during the day, but we can see where they’ve been by looking for their tracks! Learn how to spot the signs the animals leave behind.

  • Expect: Moderate 0.7-mile hike over hilly terrain- including sections of stairs. During the hike, we will look for animal signs and explore the skins, skulls, and more that the park ranger has in her pack!
  • When: We’ll begin at promptly 10AM and end at approximately 11AM.
  • Where: Meet at the Caddo Forest Trail. Trailhead located by the entrance of the boat ramp parking lot.
  • What to Bring: Appropriate footwear and water. Don’t forget to put on sunblock and bug spray before you come out.
  • Cost and Fine Print: Program is included in park entry fees- $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. No need to register, just show up! Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Caddo Lake State Park Facebook page or you can call Park HQ.
