The swamp is a beautiful and mysterious place. It might even feel a little creepy at night, but swamps aren't as scary as they might seem. Come talk with a ranger and learn about the plants and animals who call Caddo Lake home. Whether you're interested in plants, insects, reptiles, or mammals, we have something for everyone!
When: 1 - 3p (come and go!)
Where: Saw Mill Pond
What to bring: Water, Sunscreen/Hat/Sunglasses, Bug Spray
Accessibility: Parking will be available at Saw Mill Pond. Restroom is available nearby. Drinking water is available at water spigot. Path to program is pavement and concrete sidewalk.
Cost: Free with paid park admission ($4 for per person 13 and older; 12 and under are free) or with a Texas State Parks Pass.
Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Caddo Lake State Park Facebook page or you can call park headquarters.
