Solar Saturday

Create a cyanotype and safely view the sun through our solar telescope!

With the fall equinox coming up, come learn more about the sun and how it impacts our lives. Use the power of the sun to create a cyanotype print that is yours to keep! You can also safely view the sun through our solar telescope! 

When: 2PM

Where: Group Fire Pit 

What to Bring: 

• Water/Hat/Sunglasses
• Sunscreen 
• Bug spray

Accessibility: path to program is level and includes pavement, gravel and grass. Parking available at program site. No water or restrooms at program site; closest facilities located at Park Headquarters. 

Cost: Free with paid park admission ($4 for per person 13 and older; 12 and under are free) or with a Texas State Parks Pass.
