Birding For Beginners

Learn what it takes to be a birder and gain firsthand experience!

Join a ranger on our MTB trail and learn how to use binoculars, what to look for when identifying birds, and ways to make birding easy and enjoyable!

Birders of all experience levels are welcome to attend.

A limited number of binoculars are available to use during the program. A smartphone is highly recommended.

Meet: Park Headquarters

Bring: Weather appropriate clothing, plenty of water, binoculars (if applicable), and a smartphone.

Fees: Program is free with park entry ($3). Park entry is free for Texas Parks Pass holders and children 12 and under.
