Learn to rope a steer at Copper Breaks State Park!
The lariat, or lasso, was one of the most important tools for a cowboy on the Cattle Drives, and is still used on many ranches today. Join a ranger and see if you've got what it takes to wrangle a runaway roping dummy!
Meet: Cottonwood Picnic Area.
Bring: water, weather appropriate clothes, sunscreen, and good outdoor shoes.
Fees: Program is free with paid park admission. ($3 per person, kids 12 years & younger enter for free) or Texas State Park Pass.
