Join one of our park rangers for a night hike. We might see scorpions and other creatures of the night, depending on the weather. Like all of our night hikes, this hike will be kid friendly and may include stargazing, owls, scorpions, tarantulas, frogs, bats and more, depending on the weather.

You've seen the Park in the daytime, now is your chance to see it at night.  You never know what may happen but plans for the hike include:

  • spider-sniffing (maybe even tarantulas)
  • scorpions glowing under black lights
  • nightjars
  • roosting waterfowl
  • creatures of the night. anything is possible including armadillos, owls, frogs, bobcats, snakes, and bats

MEET: at boat dock/overflow parking lot by Pavilion

WHAT TO BRING: water bottle, insect repellent, red lens flashlight

Note: This event may be canceled due to bad weather.
