STARWALK 100
🎉 Celebrate 100 years of Texas State Parks the Copper Breaks way - under thousands of beautiful stars. Bring out the family to learn about the planets, stars and galaxies that you may not be able to see at home.
Copper Breaks is an International Dark Sky Park. This means we have some of the darkest skies in Texas. Due to our remote location, light pollution is minimal, making it great for stargazing.
Meet: at the Dark Sky Viewing Area next to the Equestrian Trailhead parking lot.
Parking: at the Big Pond Equestrian Camp Overflow parking lot & Big Pond Restroom Parking Lot.
Bring: Blanket or lawn chair, red-filtered flashlight, binoculars if you have any, bug spray, closed-toe shoes.
Note: This event may be cancelled due to bad weather.
This is one of many 100-year celebration events happening in Texas state parks this year. Entry to a park is free on the day it hosts an official 100-Year celebration event (applies to day passes only).
Guarantee entry by reserving your free day pass up to one month before this special event.
